What TravelTo is
TravelTo is an iPhone app that keeps a diary of your travels. You mark the countries and states you've visited, the cities and the dates of your trips, and see them on a map with your statistics (how much of the world you've seen, the continents, the kilometres flown) and a Rewind of every year. Flights are added by hand, from a confirmation email or, if you want, straight from Gmail; from the photos in your library the app finds the places you've been.
Why TravelTo asks for access to Gmail
Connecting Gmail is optional and is used only to find the flights you booked. With read-only permission (gmail.readonly) the app searches your mailbox for confirmations from airlines and travel agencies, reads them and extracts airports, dates and flight numbers, which it saves as flights on your iPhone. The analysis happens entirely on the device: email text is never sent to us or to any other server and is not used for advertising or to train AI models. The app keeps no copies of your emails, only the flights it reads from them; it never sends, changes or deletes emails, and you can disconnect Gmail at any time.
With the "Complete flights online" switch on, the app sends only a flight number and its date (for example "AZ123, 19/03/2026") to flight data services to find airports and times; with it off, nothing is sent.
TravelTo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.

Frequently asked questions
Google says "Google hasn't verified this app". Is it safe?
Yes. TravelTo is in beta and Google's verification will come with the official release. Tap Advanced, then Go to TravelTo. The app only asks to read your emails and analyses them on your iPhone: they are not sent to any server.
Why do I have to reconnect Gmail every week?
During the beta Google ends the access after 7 days. The app shows "Reconnect Gmail" and, once you sign in again, the search picks up where it stopped.
How do I disconnect Gmail?
In the app: Import from Gmail → Sign out. Or at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How do I delete my data?
Your data stays only on your iPhone. You can delete flights from the Flights list ("Delete all flights"), remove a country from its card by tapping the selected status again, or delete the app to erase everything.
I bought Flights from Gmail on another iPhone
Open the purchase screen and tap Restore purchases with the same Apple ID.
